What We Do

Minority Women’s Initiative (MWI) purpose is to help build minority women-owned organizations or businesses with limited resources with the necessary tools, education, and training to become viable players in the digital landscape.

We empower these organizations or companies to accomplish their entrepreneurship endeavors to reach others with their products or ideas.

We set these organizations and businesses to scale and grow by facilitating their ability to generate income to become self-sustainable and contribute to local and global communities.

Our Vision

To equip minority women, support their individual entrepreneurship goals, and close the minority-women-owned revenue disparity and impact the economy.

Our Story

How We Got Started

The Minority Women’s Initiative is an organization that was created by OVRFLW Digital. OVRFLW Digital is a minority-women-owned business spearheaded by Jazmin Campos.

Jazmin Campos worked for many years as a Public Health Specialist before transitioning into UX Design. Her work in Pubic Health helped her understand that to impact a community, one needs to understand the community’s needs.

Jazmin immediately noticed an underrepresentation of minorities in tech and small businesses’ spaces; further research noted minority-owned website presence was at times nonexistent or subpar compared to non-minority small business presence.

With this in mind, the non-profit organization Minority Women’s Initiative will offer expertise to minority-women-owned organizations or businesses with limited resources.

Combined with OVRFLW Digital, extensive experience with non-profits, the team will provide the necessary tools, education, and training to help minority-women-owned organizations or businesses become viable players in the digital landscape.
